MWB Ralph A. Easley, Grand Master of Masons in New Mexico 2019-2020
Ralph Arnold Easley was born in Sacramento, California on September 21, 1958, to Franklin Arnold and Amy Maxine Easley. In 1975 he joined the US NAVY right out of High School and served as an Engineman aboard the USS Schenectady, LST–1185, a Newport class tank landing ship based in San Diego California and served throughout the pacific until 1979. After his discharge, he attended American River College for 2 yrs.
Ralph married Patricia Lee “Tisch” Blandford in 1983. They have 3 children: Garret Michael, Leah Warner, and Brett Easley and 4 grandchildren, Evelyn and Jamie Warner, and Marek and Milla Michael. In 1980 he went to work as a Civil Service Employee at McClellan AFB in Sacramento CA as a Production Machinery Mechanic. He moved to Edgewood NM in 1996 and worked as a Pneudraulics Systems Mechanic at Kirtland AFB NM until he was promoted to a work supervisor. He retired from the Department of Defense in 2013.
Ralph was initiated in Estancia Lodge No.33 in 2001. In 2002, he was among 21 Masons who requested a dispensation to form a new lodge in Edgewood and was one of 48 Charter members of Edgewood Lodge No. 82 in 2003. He served as Worshipful Master of Edgewood Lodge in 2006 and was appointed Tyler in 2009. He is also a member of Liberty Lodge No. 51 in Santa Rosa NM.
Ralph became a member of the Scottish Rite in 2003 and was Co-Chairman of Wardrobe after the Fall Reunion of 2008. He worked in the 17thand 32ndDegrees for the Spring and Fall Reunions. He received KCCH Honors in 2009 and took on the Asst. Building Chairman position, assuming the Chairman position in 2010. He was appointed as the first Scottish Rite Ambassador for the 5thMasonic District in 2009 by Ill. Tom Payne SGIG and served in that position until the spring of 2012, when he was appointed Personal Representative in the Valley of Santa Fe. In 2013, Ralph received his 33rd degree in Washington DC and is currently a member of the Valley of Las Cruces. He is a Noble in Ballut Abyad Shrine of New Mexico and served on the Masonic Charities Board, which he chaired for 2 years. He also served as chairman on the board of the NM Scottish Rite Foundation which supports 6 Dyslexic learning centers located at Masonic Lodges throughout the state.
In 2006, Ralph served MWB Jimmie Berkey as Grand Marshal and Chairman of the Grand Master’s Annual Communication Committee. The following year he served again as Grand Marshal for MWB Arthur Tunnell and was appointed DDGL for the 5th Masonic District in 2010 by MWB Gary Deck. MW Brothers Bobby Arther and Josh Lightle appointed him as DDGM for the 5thDistrict in 2011 and 2012 and he was appointed to the Grand Lodge progressive line as Junior Grand Deacon in 2013 by MWB Kevin Schwebel.
