Our leadership consists of over 50 men who dedicate their time and effort to ensure that our organization fulfills its mission and continues to operate. Each office is either elected or appointed for a period of one year and starts and ends at the annual communication of the Grand Lodge (3rd Thurs/Fri/Sat in March).

Progressive Line Officers
Progressive Line Officers are elected or appointed to their office and agree to dedicate up to six years of service to provide leadership for the Grand Lodge of New Mexico. The line generally starts with the officer being appointed as Junior Grand Deacon, then appointed as Senior Grand Deacon. After two years of service, they progress by vote of the Grand Lodge from Junior Grand Warden to Grand Master of Masons over the following four years. These offices (and appropriate titles) include:

Grand Lodge Officers
The balance of the officers of the Grand Lodge are either elected or appointed to fulfill a given role for the Grand Lodge for one or more years. (Our Grand Lodge has the distinction of having a Grand Secretary who served for 62 years in that office - the longest of any Grand Secretary.) These offices ensure that both function and ceremony are fulfilled and preserved within this Grand Jurisdiction. These offices (and appropriate titles) include

District Deputies
New Mexico is currently divided into 11 Districts of Lodges. Within each District, the Grand Master appoints two officers to assist himself and the Grand Lecturer as a local representative: a District Deputy Grand Master and a District Deputy Grand Lecturer.
The District Deputy Grand Master (DDGM) is appointed to act as the representative of the Grand Master to Lodges within his District. His duties generally include making official visits to each Lodge in the District, reviewing the activities of a Lodge with the Lodge leadership and membership, and being a resource to the Lodge leadership or membership for each Lodge within his District. The DDGM will be appropriately addressed as:
The Right Worshipful District Deputy Grand Master, District ___ of the Grand Lodge of New Mexico
The District Deputy Grand Lecturer (DDGL) is appointed to act as the representative of the Grand Lecturer to Lodges within his District. His duties generally include making official visits to each Lodge in the District, assisting Lodges with degree work and Masonic studies, and acting as or providing referral resources for degree work and ritual studies within the District. The DDGL is appropriately addressed as:

Past Grand Masters
After serving for many years going through the progressive grand line, and many more in most cases, you are still both a voting member of the Grand Lodge of New Mexico and a valuable asset to the fraternity. Our Past Grand Masters (PGMs) can be found working in their Lodges, Districts, the Grand Lodge, and other Masonic organizations long after their year as Grand Master.
We rely on them specifically to work with the sitting Grand Master and Grand Lodge Officers in continued support of the current activities and for reference from their experiences. After that length of service, they have a great deal of experience that helps us avoid pitfalls and succeed at our endeavors.
In the Jurisdiction of New Mexico, a Grand Master of Masons in New Mexico keeps the title "Most Worshipful Brother", and when addressed formally is Most Worshipful Brother __________ (first name) ___________(last name), Grand Master of Masons _______ (year). When introduced as a group they should be introduced in order by year (ascending).
